Jars Of Clay

 Jars Of Clay are a four-member Contemporary Christian rock/pop band formed in Greenville, Illinois, in
 1990. The band's name is taken from the New International Version's translation of 2 Corinthians 
 4:7, "But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and 
 not from us".  Their genre consists of a mixture of alt/rock, pop and folk, and they have achieved
 multi-platinum status and collected numerous awards - including a 1997 Grammy, and a number
 of Dove Awards.
