It all started when Mrs. Hopkins warned that disaster was certain if the program were to be held outdoors with real animals. Truer words were never spoken! A fire nearly destroyed the stable, animals created chaos, and the antique manger from Bethlehem was missing!

As detective Zack and his friend Luke hunt for the culprit, they begin to find evidence for an even greater mystery-Santa Claus. Where does he come from? What do trees and stockings and presents have to do with the birth of Jesus?

The trail of clues takes Zack and company on a wild 'lamb' chase that eventually leads them to the answer and to the true meaning of Christmas.
