David Adam went to Theological College in Kelham, near Warwick where he trained for five years. This training involved not only study, but also going to Church for worship at least six times a day, and the pattern of manual work, study and worship very soon became a life long way of living.

In 1990, David became the vicar of Holy Island, caring not only for the parish but the thousands of pilgrims, school children and tourists. He has now retired from Holy Island. He is one of the country's most respected and best loved Christian writers.
