The book of 'Exodus' is about a journey: a journey out of Egypt.

More particularly a journey from a land where God's power, sovereignty and continuing interest in his people could be easily questioned, to a place where God dwelt in the midst of his people.

Exodus is a classic unravelling of the journey to freedom by God's chosen people, this book describes the power of God, the redemption of his people, the covenant made on Mount Sinai and the rules of his worship.

Although written many centuries ago, the themes of rebellion and freedom still resonate today.
