Seaside Rock is a flexible programme which introduces children to Peter. He met Jesus at the seaside, and was given the name 'The Rock'. His life was never quite the same again! Children will discover how they too can follow Jesus. Seaside Rockas the name suggests is set at the seaside. Your venue will be transformed into a setting complete with sand, sea and a seaside house that is built on rock. The rock theme is picked up in different ways with all the fun of being on the beach and much more - including drama, crafts, games, Bible stories, the beack lookout, music and rock pool Groups. The Resource Book includes a free CD containing the theme song, and memory verses for each day. During this week you will follow the highs and lows of Peter's friendship with Jesus. Each story points to Jesus as the Saviour and the source of Peter's hope and joy. The most important section of Seaside Rocl is its teaching programme. It should be well planned, prayed through, prepared and presented clearly. The programme will challenge the children to follow Jesus just as Peter did two thousand years ago.
