'Research shows that 85% of people come to faith before they reach the age of 21. It is somewhat surprising then that there aren't more books on the subject of living the Christian life for this group of people. Well I have recently read two which I think fit this bill well. In 'Freestyle' by Andy Frost and Jo Wells (Authentic/ 1-85078-619-4/paperback/ 148 pages/ ?4.99), the authors address key issues of the Christian life including, discipleship, Bible study, worship, faith-sharing and prayer. They deal with subjects such as freedom, justice and making a difference.

This is a book about living a radical life, being an extreme Christian and uses real life situations and experiences to illustrate this. The language is that of the youth culture and I learned some new (to me) phrases such as 'stage-diving,' 'moshing' and 'being stocked'. The appeal of this book will be across the genders and will encourage young people that it is 'cool' to follow Jesus.'
