Francis Chan
Francis Chan is the former founding pastor and teaching pastor of Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley, California. After being raised by his Buddhist grandmother in Hong Kong, Francis came to America at the age of five. His mother, stepmother and father all tragically died before his 13th birthday. Francis came to know the Lord in high school and in 1994 Francis and his wife Lisa started Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley. Over the past 16 years, the church has grown to over 4,000 regular attendees.

Cornerstone has many ministries including Cornerstone Television and Eternity Bible College. Pastor Chan is a highly sought-after speaker at many Christian colleges and youth conferences nationally and internationally. He is also currently active with Children's Hunger Fund, African Renewal Ministries and World Impact. His commitment is to teach directly from the Bible and his passion is to see the next generation of American Christians display a much deeper love for Jesus.

He is also the best-selling author of several books, teaching DVDs and study guides. His book Crazy Love has sold over 1,000,000 copies since its release in 2008 and has dominated book sales in the last two years.(Chan has donates all author royalties from the book to charity.) It was recently named Book of the Year by Family Christian Stores (U.S.). Francis stepped down from his role at Cornerstone in 2010 believing God was calling him and his wife to take a 'step of faith' to launch a new ministry as an extension of Cornerstone Church, in a large city in America. Francis and his wife Lisa, have four children.
