D A Carson (Ed)
D. A. Carson (Ph.D., Cambridge University) is research professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, and he has also served as a pastor. His areas of expertise include biblical theology, the historical Jesus, postmodernism, pluralism, Greek grammar, Johannine theology, Pauline theology, and questions of suffering and evil.

Dr. Carson has written or edited more than 45 books, including The Sermon on the Mount; Exegetical Fallacies; Matthew (Revised Expistor's Bible Commentary), New Testament Commentary Survey, 6th ed.

His book, The Gagging of God: Christianity Confronts Pluralism won the 1997 Evangelical Christian Publishers Association Gold Medallion Award. Recent works include Christ and Culture Revisited; The Intolerance of Tolerance; Galatians and Revelation (Pillar New Testament Commentary); Hebrews (Baker Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament) and 1-3 John (New International Greek Testament Commentary.

R T France (Ed)
R. T. France is Hon. Research Fellow in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, University of Wales, Bangor. His many other books include The Gospel of Mark ( both for the People's Bible Commentary and the New International Greek New Testament Commentary), The Gospel of Matthew (bothTyndale New Testament Commentary and New International Commentary of the New Testament) and Women in the Church's Ministry: A Test-Case for Biblical Hermeneutics.

J A Motyer (Ed)
J. Alec Motyer (M.A., B.D., D.D.) was formerly principal of Trinity College in Bristol, England. He has extensive experience in parish ministry and is well known as a Bible expositor. He is author of The Prophecy of Isaiah, and he is Old Testament editor of IVP's commentary series, The Bible Speaks Today. He has written several volumes in that series including Exodus, Amos, James and Philippians, along with the Tyndale Old Testament Commentary on The Book of Isaiah. Most recently he has published Journey: Psalms for pilgrim people and Treasures of the King: Psalms from the life of David.

G J Wenham (Ed)
Gordon J. Wenham (Ph.D., University of Cambridge) is professor of Old Testament studies at the University of Gloucestershire. He is the author or editor of ten books, including major commentaries on Leviticus (New International Commentary on the Old Testament), Genesis 1-11, Genesis 12-50 (2 volumes, Word Biblical Commentary), The Book of Numbers (Tyndale Old Testament Commentary). He is coeditor of the Apollos Old Testament Commentary series in which he is author of the volume on The Book of Psalms.
